Meet Celia the Oddkin Frog!

With her characterful eyelids and heart-shaped lips, this sassy frog looks like she might have a thing or two to say. Her super-soft body, cut from a cashmere argyle sweater, brings together soft green, pale blue, and navy, with a ribbed green collar and mismatched arms in saturated orange and blue. Details include mismatched button eyes, a berry-colored crocheted yarn mouth with heart-shaped lips at its center, hand-cut thick wool fingers and toes, hand-sewn heart appliqué, and mismatched navy and striped legs with sweet little patches to complete the scrappy vibe.

About the Kindred Creatures: The Kindred Creatures are the kooky, scrappy animal friends of the Oddkin monsters, pieced together from fabric scraps and salvaged bits in resourceful and unexpected ways. Soft, silly, and a little odd, they share their monster kin’s expressive details and peculiar personalities.

A Note About Beans: I use dry beans or rice in my Oddkins because I prefer to use non-plastic materials. When kept dry, dried beans do not inherently create a mold or pest problem. Giving a new purpose to pantry staples too old for eating is part of my resourceful Oddkin ethos.
