Meet Coco.

The first-ever Grouchling Oddkin, Coco features an oversized hand-sewn felt cyclops eye with hand-stitched face details. Coordinating houndstooth wool on the leg and draped scarf keep things sharp, with arms of soft cashmere and angora sweater scraps secured with a large shoulder button. Salvaged sweater seam hair pops out between two soft wool horns. Soft and cuddly even when in a grouchy mood.

About the Black & White Collection: What started as one experiment quickly became twelve. A single black-and-white Oddkin unlocked something — suddenly, a whole cast of characters was emerging from long neglected wool. My growing pile of grey, black, and white scraps had been quietly waiting for their moment, and for me to realize their potential.

The result is a kooky cast of characters united by their shared refusal to be boring, with a wide range of personalities. There’s goth, romance, Oddkin couture, playing cards, checkerboards, graphic patterns, formality, and drama. Creative surface details and unexpected pattern mash-ups transform those once-overlooked scraps into bold little works of art, each punctuated with a different pop of color.
