Meet Domino!

Domino makes a bold fashion statement, layering the ruffled hem of a knit black-and-white baby dress with a repurposed wool sweater cuff (original bow intact) worn as a collar, and a wool houndstooth strip as a belt. Domino’s arms and legs are pieced from graphic thrifted cotton scraps: bold chevron, black-and-white stripes (from a thrifted dress) and big polka dot, topped with a full head of white t-shirt yarn hair.

About the Black & White Collection: What started as one experiment quickly became twelve. A single black-and-white Oddkin unlocked something — suddenly, a whole cast of characters was emerging from long neglected wool. My growing pile of grey, black, and white scraps had been quietly waiting for their moment, and for me to realize their potential.

The result is a kooky cast of characters united by their shared refusal to be boring, with a wide range of personalities. There’s goth, romance, Oddkin couture, playing cards, checkerboards, graphic patterns, formality, and drama. Creative surface details and unexpected pattern mash-ups transform those once-overlooked scraps into bold little works of art, each punctuated with a different pop of color.
