Oddkin Maker's Bundle | Black & White Collection

Create your own large Oddkin Monster from a curated collection of premium reclaimed materials from my personal Oddkin-making stash.

This Palette: Black & White (and Red) 🖤🤍❤️

This kit was created alongside my Black & White Oddkin Collection. The bundle features high-quality upcycled wool fabrics in black, ivory, grey, and red, accented with graphic black-and-white prints and patterns from repurposed garments. It also includes leftover bits of the special materials I used in this batch of Oddkins: white t-shirt yarn, salvaged red sweater seams (perfect for a small tuft of wild hair), rick rack, lace, a few wool balls, felt pieces for toes and decoration, and small scraps of patterned quilting cottons for inner ears or anywhere else that you want to add a splash of color. Sometimes a limited color palette holds the most creative potential! 

Due to the limited nature of upcycled materials (and because I need to save some for making my own Oddkins) I create only a few kits at a time, and color palettes are not repeated. There are TEN kits in this batch.

Product Description:

Finding the perfect upcycled fabrics for an Oddkin can be tricky! Not too thick, not too thin, not too stretchy but also not too stiff, as well as finding colors and patterns that work together. I've done the hardest part for you, so you get to just sit down at your crafting table, open the box, and start creating! 

I curate these kits as carefully as I do my own Oddkins, with only the most premium and special fabrics from my personal stash of materials that I've spent countless hours collecting. I intuitively mix colors, textures, and patterns that seem chaotic at first but somehow come together to feel rich, characterful, and artfully cohesive, so your own monster will come out with that classic, joyfully-jumbled Oddkin vibe.

Each Oddkin Maker's Bundle Includes:

• A paper copy of my Oddkin Monster Sewing Pattern
• A curated assortment of premium reclaimed fabric
• Assorted felt for toes, appliqué and decorations
• White felt for eyes
• Buttons for eyes
• Black embroidery thread for face details
• Coordinating yarn bundle for hair
• A few extra bonus materials to spark your creativity

Each kit contains enough fabric to make ONE Large Oddkin Monster with a choice between two monster designs. There is more than enough fabric to give you lots of creative freedom, and you will definitely have some extra. (For minis maybe?)

You'll Need:

• A good pair of scissors
• Sewing machine (or take the slow handsewing route)
• Sewing needle and thread
• Stuffing (polyfill from an old pillow works great!)

Skill Level: This pattern is aimed at confident beginners. You should be comfortable using a sewing machine and with basic hand sewing. I've also created a free Youtube video tutorial to guide you through the entire process step-by-step.
