Meet Petunia the Oddkin Horse!

Petunia is a sweet creation used to test my new pattern in flannel and fleece, bringing together mint green, lavender, and a cheerful mix of spots and prints. Her tousled yarn mane, button nostrils, yellow heart cheeks, give her plenty of handmade charm. Petunia also starred in my tutorial video for the Oddkin horse pattern. A pattern-testing pony who deserved a name and a place of her own.

About the Kindred Creatures: The Kindred Creatures are the kooky, scrappy animal friends of the Oddkin monsters, pieced together from fabric scraps and salvaged bits in resourceful and unexpected ways. Soft, silly, and a little odd, they share their monster kin’s expressive details and peculiar personalities.

A Note About Beans: I use dry beans or rice in my Oddkins because I prefer to use non-plastic materials. When kept dry, dried beans do not inherently create a mold or pest problem. Giving a new purpose to pantry staples too old for eating is part of my resourceful Oddkin ethos.
