Meet Pippin the Oddkin Hippo!

Pippin is a hippo-sized helping of softhearted charm. Made from a variety of lightly felted cashmere sweaters, including a cherished purple and lavender argyle and cabled knits, Pippin has a round powder-blue snout and wonderfully mismatched legs. An adorable tuft of wool hair sits between two soft ears, with big white felt teeth peeking out below big blue button nostrils. With wool heart appliqués and a ribbed sweater cuff repurposed as a collar, Pippin is quietly dapper, delightfully toothy, and ready for the softest snuggles.

About the Kindred Creatures: The Kindred Creatures are the kooky, scrappy animal friends of the Oddkin monsters, pieced together from fabric scraps and salvaged bits in resourceful and unexpected ways. Soft, silly, and a little odd, they share their monster kin’s expressive details and peculiar personalities.

A Note About Beans: I use dry beans or rice in my Oddkins because I prefer to use non-plastic materials. When kept dry, dried beans do not inherently create a mold or pest problem. Giving a new purpose to pantry staples too old for eating is part of my resourceful Oddkin ethos.
